/mission for Claude Code
Product Hunt: /mission for Claude Code — Give Claude Code missions to spawn a team of agents
What is the idea?
You hand it a mission in plain language; it decomposes the job and runs a small team of agents against it instead of making you chair the meeting.
Who would use it, and what do they get?
Weak as shipped — today's users are developers. Only clears the gate if the mission is a non-code errand a normal person owns end to end.
Why would anyone bother?
Users often find existing tools too complex or lacking in automation, leading to frustration in managing their projects.
What is missing today?
Every agent product today still asks the human to be the project manager. The decomposition step — 'what are the five things this actually requires' — is the part non-technical people cannot do and the part nobody has packaged for them.
What makes this one different?
The interesting version is not the coding one — it is the same decomposition pointed at a non-code mission a normal person actually has ('plan and produce my mother's 70th birthday'). Cold start CN = 小红书「AI 帮我做了」类笔记的评论区; EN = r/ChatGPT 'I wish it would just do the whole thing' threads. Flagged watch, not build: the developer-facing framing is exactly what the end-user gate rejects.
What could kill it?
Squarely inside the biggest labs' roadmap: the moment decomposition works well it becomes a default in the base product, and a thin orchestration layer has no ground left to stand on.
Who pays, and for what?
Solo founders pay for streamlined project management and task automation that saves them time and effort.
What is the main risk?
The risk lies in established competitors quickly integrating similar AI capabilities into their existing platforms.
How much work is it?
about two weeks of work
