# OurWord (Yuansheng) > The world is too loud. Read what matters. > English deep-reads of Chinese and English podcasts, every claim anchored to a timestamp in the original audio. A daily digest of podcasts, written in English. Each entry carries 5-8 argued points with clickable timestamps, verbatim quotes in the original language plus an English translation, and the numbers stated in the episode. Quotes are checked character-by-character against the transcript and numbers are traced back to it; anything that cannot be located is deleted before publishing. ## Read it - Site: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/ - Every source, with coverage and fetch health: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/sources/ - One page per source: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/s// - One page per episode: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p// - Full text of every entry, one file: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/llms-full.txt - All URLs: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/sitemap.xml - RSS: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/feed.xml - Search index (JSON, one row per entry): https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/search.json ## Other editions The same entries are published in three languages. Each has its own sitemap, feed, search index and llms.txt; the URL structure below is identical in all three. - 简体中文 / Simplified Chinese: https://ourword.ai/podcast/ (llms.txt: https://ourword.ai/podcast/llms.txt) - 繁體中文 / Traditional Chinese: https://ourword.ai/podcast/tw/ (llms.txt: https://ourword.ai/podcast/tw/llms.txt) - English: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/ (llms.txt: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/llms.txt) Simplified is the source of record; Traditional is a glyph conversion of it, and English is translated from it. Every page links to its counterparts with hreflang, so either edition can be cited directly. ## How an entry is made 1. transcript, in strict order of quality: the show's own machine-readable transcript from its RSS feed; the full text when the feed carries it; a transcript page on the show's site; YouTube auto-captions; audio transcription as the last resort. Every entry states which one it used. 2. triage: an editorial pass on the title and show notes decides whether the episode carries anything worth writing about before any expensive work happens. 3. mechanical gate: quotes must occur verbatim in the transcript (spoken numbers included — "twenty fourteen" counts as 2014); every number in the facts table must be traceable to the transcript; every timestamp must fall inside the episode's duration. Whatever fails is deleted, not softened. 4. review: a separate model scores the finished piece 0-10 against the transcript around every citation plus an even sample of the whole episode, judging information density, faithfulness, selection, concreteness and Chinese prose. Below 7 does not publish. The score is shown on each page. Nothing is published when the transcript cannot be verified. A day with no verifiable material is a day with no new entries. ## Sources (163) ### AI & Tech (40) - 80,000 Hours Podcast — Very long interviews with AI safety and governance researchers, near-academic preparation, official full transcripts included (5 entries: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/s/eightythousand/) - Andrej Karpathy — Rarely updated, but every episode rewards frame-by-frame watching (1 entries: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/s/karpathy/) - Asianometry — Semiconductors and industrial history, sourced down to specific plants, equipment models and years; almost nothing like it in Chinese (6 entries: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/s/asianometry/) - Dwarkesh Podcast — The best-prepared long interviews, pushing guests toward specific, refutable claims (6 entries: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/s/dwarkesh/) - Interconnects — Nathan Lambert on post-training and open models; rigorous technical judgment (3 entries: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/s/interconnects/) - Latent Space — Technical interviews from an AI engineer's view; one of few shows linking papers to products (6 entries: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/s/latentspace/) - Lenny's Podcast — Product, growth and org design, from people who ran it themselves (2 entries: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/s/lennys/) - No Priors — Sarah Guo and Elad Gil question AI founders like the investors they are (3 entries: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/s/nopriors/) - Oxide and Friends — People who build servers on hardware, firmware and systems engineering, down to chip models and the traps they hit (2 entries: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/s/oxide/) - The Cognitive Revolution — Digs deepest into the AI application layer and agent engineering details (6 entries: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/s/cogrev/) - AI & I — Every's Dan Shipper on how AI gets used in real workflows (3 entries: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/s/aiandi/) - Anthropic — Official first-hand material on Claude and AI safety (not yet covered) - Decoder — Nilay Patel presses on how platforms and organizations actually decide (not yet covered) - Google DeepMind: The Podcast — Official DeepMind; slow to update but all firsthand research (1 entries: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/s/deepmind/) - Hard Fork — The NYT tech weekly, picking topics with wide public dispute (not yet covered) - Lex Fridman Podcast — Very long interviews spanning AI, science and politics (1 entries: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/s/lex/) - Machine Learning Street Talk — The most rigorous academic debate; often counter to the mainstream narrative (1 entries: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/s/mlst/) - TechTechPotato — Ian Cutress on chips and data centers, often with first-hand vendor interviews (8 entries: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/s/techtechpotato/) - The MAD Podcast — Matt Turck on data and AI infrastructure (1 entries: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/s/madpod/) - The Pragmatic Engineer — Engineering organizations and dev practice, for people who write code (3 entries: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/s/pragmatic/) - The a16z Show — a16z on industry trends and investing (4 entries: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/s/a16z/) - Training Data — Sequoia's interviews on AI research and startups (1 entries: https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/s/trainingdata/) - Unsupervised Learning — Redpoint's conversations with AI practitioners (not yet covered) - 42章经 — In-depth Chinese AI venture interviews on model competition, application dead ends, founder reflection; dense firsthand judgment. The researchers' line: this is not science fiction, it happened. [80,000 Hours Podcast, 2026-09-04] - [The better AI gets at saving you money, the more your mortgage costs](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-09-04-moneystuff-ai越帮你精打细算-房贷反而会越贵/) — American mortgages are cheap partly because most people can't be bothered to refinance when rates fall; once AI agents remind everyone to refinance on time, that option gets repriced and mortgage rates go up instead. [Money Stuff, 2026-09-04] - [Laser Weapons Are Finally Going to War: $15 Billion Spent So Far](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-09-04-oddlots-激光武器终于要实战了-美军已花-150-亿研发/) — The laser is called the sniper rifle of directed-energy weapons; the microwave is the electronic shotgun. The US military is shifting from R&D into procurement, but what is really in short supply are cheap interceptors — whether you can win every engagement and still not afford to fight is the question that matters. [Odd Lots, 2026-09-04] - [He Believed It Would Work, So He Never Prepared: The Daredevil Who Nearly Died at a 4,000-Foot Canyon](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-09-04-cautionary-相信能成-所以从不准备-特技车王差点死在4000英尺峡谷/) — Knievel treated positive thinking as a method: before a jump he did not practice, did not calculate angles, did not measure risk. Experiments by psychology professor Oettingen show that optimistic fantasy does not push you toward success — it paralyzes you. The Snake River failure was settled before the ignition. [Cautionary Tales with Tim Harford, 2026-09-04] - [AI detection isn't a style check — it looks for padded information](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-09-03-oxide-ai-检测不是查文风-是查信息有没有注水/) — The tell in AI writing isn't style, it's ‘information padding’: output that carries more than the input did. A hedge-fund titan publicly owning his AI op-ed became the turning point — Pangram's fourth generation runs a false-positive rate of roughly 1 in 24,000, and models converging actually makes the writing easier to catch. [Oxide and Friends, 2026-09-03] - [What drives founders isn't becoming a billionaire — it's fear the server crashes at 3am](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-09-03-ycsp-驱动创始人的不是当亿万富翁-是怕服务器半夜崩掉/) — Most people assume what carries you through a startup is ambition for wealth. Paul Graham says what actually pushes you day to day is fear of disaster — the server is down, the model train is about to go off the table's edge; you keep your head down for ten years, then look up, do the math, and discover that at the last round's valuation you're already a billionaire. [Y Combinator, 2026-09-03] - [Arm Is Building Its Own CPU: Chip Design's Biggest Bottleneck Is Verification, Not Design](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-09-03-nopriors-arm-下场造-cpu-芯片设计最大瓶颈是验证-不是设计/) — The real time sink in a chip cycle is verification, debug and documentation, not RTL; 80%-90% of Arm's engineers already use AI every day, and the company is breaking its own 98.5%-gross-margin licensing model to go build a CPU itself. [No Priors, 2026-09-03] - [Finance's top fraud red flag: not greed, but personal finances out of control](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-09-03-rationalreminder-金融舞弊头号预警-不是贪婪-是个人财务先失控/) — For 14 years running, the ACFE has ranked "personal financial problems" as the number-one warning sign of financial misconduct; systemic incentives, a brain whose critical regions go offline, and an inflated view of one's own ethics all help good people cross the line one step at a time. [The Rational Reminder Podcast, 2026-09-03] - [The 5% Long Bond Isn't About Inflation: $32 Trillion of Debt Means Buyers Only Take More at a Higher Price](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-09-03-oddlots-美债利率上-5-不是通胀闹的-32-万亿国债让买家只肯加价接盘/) — Inflation doesn't explain the 30-year breaking 5%: even with no inflation and no default risk, a buyer already fully allocated at 5.3% won't be moved by another $10 billion. What's really pushing the curve up is supply — roughly $2 trillion of new debt a year — and Treasury buybacks can't hold it down. [Odd Lots, 2026-09-03] - [A wallet's profit engine is not interest on balances, it is money circulating inside the system](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-09-03-complexsys-钱包的利润密码不是余额利息-是钱在体系内流转/) — The core wallet ledger: money coming in pays a card-network toll, money moving between users inside the system is nearly free, and money going out can be charged again. What a wallet earns is the spread on flow, not interest on idle funds — and PayPal, Cash App and Stripe Link are all betting on that model. [Complex Systems, 2026-09-03] - [If It Can't Solve Quantum Gravity, It Isn't AGI](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-09-03-spc-解不出量子引力-就不算真正的-agi/) — A physicist draws a high line for AGI: it counts when it solves quantum gravity. The conversation also clarifies the real relationship between quantum materials and AI — the materials a search turns up still have to clear synthesizability, and what survives may be zero. [South Park Commons, 2026-09-03] - [The AI Leaders Are Only Refineries, Not the Native-App Winners](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-09-03-zhangxiaojun-ai没有安全巨头-公司制度将消亡/) — AI has entered the agent stage: the leaders of stage one are only refineries, not the big winners of native applications; new platforms do not come from old platforms; organizations have to shift from jobs to tasks; and in the end what people compete on is the creativity to make something out of nothing. [张小珲·商业访谈录, 2026-09-03] - [The moat in AI writing isn't the model — it's the proprietary data you feed it](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-09-02-aiandi-ai-写作的护城河不是模型-而是你喂进去的独家数据/) — Over two years, Every writer Katie turned ChatGPT from a career coach during unemployment into a one-person content company and a compounding editor; the core discipline isn't prompting, it's using proprietary experience to close the "last mile" the model can't reach. [AI & I, 2026-09-02] - [The most valuable step in writing with AI isn't the prompt — it's compounding your edit feedback](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-09-02-every-用-ai-写作最值钱的一步不是提示词-而是把改稿反馈沉淀成复利/) — Katie took AI from career coach all the way to a writing plugin: load the context in first, then save every round of edit notes back into the system and let it compound. For her, AI isn't only about output speed — it's a support system that steadies her emotionally and routes around the things she can't get herself to do. The US has now outgrown China five years running. The supply-chain-dominance narrative doesn't survive the data — the future looks more like Japanese-style deflation. Most of the population fits the current environment; the moment bacterial defenses escalate, the low-frequency backups take over. The one clever member escaped by injecting himself with baking soda — a story about how lethal recruiting and individual judgment really are. The experiments show AI decisions depend on humans to fill in the missing information: responsibility gets broken into pieces, and no one answers for the result. The Basin and Range Province in the United States is the rare exception: the crust has already been pulled to roughly twice its width and is still extending, and GPS, the paleoseismic record and detachment faults let us see it happening. His key advice to rate-sensitive industries is to watch the data, not the stock market. But daily use does raise the risk of winter vitamin D deficiency, and the evidence that sunscreen prevents melanoma in people with darker skin is especially thin. What is genuinely scarce is judgment, taste and architectural constraint. [The Pragmatic Engineer, 2026-08-26] - [AI's next step isn't bigger models, it's learning to admit uncertainty](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-08-26-deepmind-ai-的下一步不是更大模型-而是学会承认不确定/) — DeepMind researcher Zubin draws on 30 years of research to show that today's large models make things up confidently because they lack any explicit representation of probability; Bayesian updating, forecast ensembles and calibration are what reliable AI and AGI actually turn on. AI is leverage, not cheating, and most employees at future companies will be AI bots. At Walleye, everyone uses AI every day and every meeting gets recorded, building a first-mover advantage out of operating leverage and a data lake. Consumer agents are finally delivering on years of promises. His judgment: large models will see no more Transformer-style invention, only refinement. But Studwell argues the variable that decides whether Africa can repeat the Asian miracle is the urban market size that comes with population density, not minerals and not aid. His calls: the first round's terms decide whether you live or die, open source is a moat because it lowers the friction of working with you, and the robot body is the entry point to embodied AI. In restaurants, localisation is the line between life and death — but the fragrance compounds upstream of perfume are still monopolised by four European and American giants. It is the barrier inside the supply chain, not the brand on the door, that decides where domestic substitution actually stops. [Science Vs, 2026-07-30] - [For AI Application Companies, Surviving Beats Innovating: Liblib Turns Cash-Flow Positive](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-30-latetalk-ai-应用公司的最优解是活下来-而不是创新/) — An AI application company dismissed as ‘只会抄袭+投流’ — nothing but copying plus buying traffic — has been cash-flow positive since May, with paid advertising accounting for only 4% of revenue. Founder Chen Mian (陈冕): the era of applications has not arrived yet, and the most important goal is to stay alive; between being the first to find PMF and finally winning the market lies an enormous distance. [Nature Podcast, 2026-07-29] - [Non-programmers Were Sneaking Into Codex, and ChatGPT Work Followed](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-28-latentspace-chatgpt-work-与-codex-是同一个-harness-差的只是-u/) — OpenAI handed knowledge workers the Codex harness essentially unchanged, altering only the UX trade-offs and the sandbox defaults. The judgment underneath: AI will erase the boundaries between job functions, so OpenAI refuses to draw product lines around "who you are". [Latent Space, 2026-07-28] - [Intelligence will commoditize like RAM; OpenAI's real moat is compute](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-28-ilt-智能终将商品化-openai-真正的护城河是算力/) — Sam Altman takes stock: intelligence itself will commoditize the way RAM did, and the durable advantage is the ability to manufacture cheaper compute. He also walks through ChatGPT's accidental birth, the Hugging Face safety incident, and how the bottleneck keeps moving. [Invest Like the Best, 2026-07-28] - [Open models will win, and vLLM is the Linux of AI inference](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-28-zhangxiaojun-开源模型会赢-vllm-是-ai-推理的-linux/) — vLLM is already the most active open-source project on GitHub, but Kaichao You's (游凯超) real claim is this: model capability cannot stay hidden for long, open models will win in the end, and the inference engine is the next Linux — where the moat is fast iteration, not the model itself. [张小珺·商业访谈录, 2026-07-28] - [AI Won't Break SAP, But It Will Break Per-Seat Pricing](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-27-latetalk-企业软件不会死-死的是按坐席收费的模式/) — AI will not flatten what enterprise software has accumulated, but it will break the per-seat pricing model. SAP's defense is not training its own foundation model — it is open partnership plus business understanding, and the real battlefield is the last mile: process, data and organizational inertia. [晚点聊 LateTalk, 2026-07-27] - [Chinese superpods now out-compute NVIDIA in total, but 5x the power buys no ecosystem](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-27-whatsnext-国产超节点总算力反超英伟达-但功耗翻五倍换不来生态/) — Huawei's CloudMatrix 384 spends roughly 560 kW to deliver 1.7x the total compute of an NVL72, but what decides the fate of domestic superpods is not the spec sheet — it is manufacturing capacity and the software ecosystem. [What's Next|科技早知道, 2026-07-27] - [Without Claude Code, Opus 4.5 Would Never Have Had Its Breakout](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-26-lennys-没有claude-code-opus-4-5不会有那波爆发/) — Anthropic's product lead looks back: however strong a model gets, users only feel it through a vehicle like Claude Code — and the core of the PM job has shifted from writing PRDs to writing evals. As she puts it, the eval is the new PRD. [Lenny's Podcast, 2026-07-26] - [China Cut 5 Million Barrels a Day of Imports — Why the Iran Oil Apocalypse Never Came](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-26-chinatalk-中国用5百万桶进口消失挡掉了伊朗油价末日/) — The Iran war was once forecast to push oil to $200 a barrel; the disaster never arrived, and the main reason was not the United States but China quietly cutting crude imports by 5 million barrels a day — discretion that can rescue a market, and can just as easily be turned into a geopolitical weapon. [ChinaTalk, 2026-07-26] - [No One Confirmed the Doors Were Shut: Institutional Carelessness Was the Real Killer](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-24-cautionary-没人确认舱门已关-制度性漫不经心才是元凶/) — In 1987 the roll-on/roll-off ferry Herald of Free Enterprise capsized with her bow doors open, killing 193 people. The real culprit was not the sleeping crewman but a system that left everyone feeling this was not their job. [Cautionary Tales with Tim Harford, 2026-07-24] - [AI Only Gets You Because Content Engineers Coached It, Line by Line](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-24-sv101-ai的懂你-是内容工程师一句句调教出来的/) — People who used to write the news have turned into AI's content engineers, breaking questioning, empathy and a sense of proportion down into training rules — that is where AI's ‘understanding’ of you comes from. But training on consensus also leads them to admit: great art will not grow out of this. [硅谷101, 2026-07-24] - [Can a small model that grinds for eight weeks break the foundation-model oligopoly?](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-23-latentspace-poolside-小模型的持久性-比参数量更重要/) — With a model of 118 billion total parameters and 8 billion active, Poolside argues that persistence and verification behaviour lift coding ability more than raw parameter count does — which is why they believe small open models can break the incumbents' lock on the future. [Latent Space, 2026-07-23] - [Open models aren't closing the gap by distilling — nobody knows how to distill usefully](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-22-interconnects-开源追上前沿不是靠蒸馏-因为没人知道蒸馏怎么才管用/) — Nathan Lambert takes apart, point by point, the narrative that Chinese open models are just distilled: using Fable/GPT 5.6 as a judge inside the RL stage does not pencil out on cost, and even if you were handed the strongest model's reasoning traces for free, the research community still does not know how to convert them into capability. [Interconnects, 2026-07-22] - [A 28nm Chip Outruns the Leading Edge by 1,000x: Compute-in-Memory Black Magic Without EUV](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-22-laoshi-模型越大-28纳米存算芯片反而越强/) — Zhicun Technology (知存科技) turned 28nm Flash into compute-in-memory chips. Because the physics make larger arrays more energy-efficient, efficiency rises as models get bigger — and Transformers are pure upside for the approach. [老石谈芯, 2026-07-22] - [Three gates still stand between your agent and your money: trust, authorization, merchant readiness](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-22-whatsnext-智能体支付已落地-但替你花钱还差三道坎/) — Clink and Visa completed the first agent payment, yet the industry is stuck at three gates — trust, authorization and merchant readiness; fiat is running first because consumer protection is mature, while stablecoins are still working on irreversibility. [What's Next|科技早知道, 2026-07-22] - [Embodied AI hasn't reached its GPT-1 moment; the block is data that won't scale](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-22-zhangxiaojun-具身数据没scale-up-gpt-1时刻就还没到/) — Shen Yujun (沈宇军) of Ant Lingbo (蚂蚁灵波) argues embodied AI has not reached its GPT-1 moment, and the bottleneck is that data has not scaled up: internet data is two orders of magnitude larger than real-robot data, and an ideal pretraining run would start at a million hours. To get there the team rebuilt visual pretraining from scratch and insists on starting from real sensors. [张小珺·商业访谈录, 2026-07-22] - [Yao Song: physical AI is won by systems, not by young geniuses](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-21-latetalk-姚颂十年三次创业-物理ai的答案不是小天才-而是系统/) — From DeePhi to Orienspace to Striding AI, Yao Song (姚颂) argues that what decides physical AI is not one or two genius algorithms but data, compute, a talent pool and commercial delivery at every milestone — and that the intelligence-first giants may not be the ones who get to pick the fruit. [晚点聊 LateTalk, 2026-07-21] - [Open weights now trail closed models by 3-5 months, and that lag is the whole safety margin](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-20-interconnects-开闭源差距只剩-3-5-个月-这层时间差就是全部的安全边际/) — Kimi K3 compresses the open-versus-closed gap from the 6-9 months people had been arguing over down to 3-5 months, and that lag is the only risk buffer anyone has — heavy-handed regulation of open weights would merely postpone the inevitable while voiding the buffer itself. [Interconnects, 2026-07-20] - [Why cross-entropy loss won: it is training a text compressor](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-16-karpathy-训练语言模型本质上是在训练一个文本压缩器/) — Cross-entropy loss was selected because it can be proved mathematically to be the only functional form that guarantees the loss is minimized exactly when the model's output equals the true distribution of the data — and that turns out to be equivalent to training the model into a text compressor approaching the Shannon limit. [Andrej Karpathy, 2026-07-16] - [The naked mole-rat queen rules with a $5 molecule: not urine, a skincare ingredient](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-15-naturepod-裸鼹鼠女王不靠尿液-靠一种5美元分子维持王位/) — The signal that suppresses reproduction in naked mole-rats has finally been found: only the queen produces isopropyl myristate. Add it to a colony that has lost its queen and the peace holds; stop, and the succession war breaks out. The same molecule turns up on breastfeeding women. [Nature Podcast, 2026-07-15] - [Two or three assisted-driving suppliers will be left, and the window shuts by year-end](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-15-latetalk-智驾好和更好的行业-只容得下两三家/) — Momenta's Cao Xudong (曹旭东) argues that assisted driving is like batteries — there is only good and better — so the endgame leaves two or three third-party suppliers in China and three or four globally; the first tier already holds 90% market share, a data flywheel plus mass production is the ticket in, and the next stop is physical AI and home robots. [晚点聊 LateTalk, 2026-07-15] - [A black hole is a 100%-efficient power plant; fusion only reaches one percent](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-10-dwarkesh-黑洞是效率-100-的发电厂-聚变只到百分之一/) — Winch a brick slowly down to just above the horizon and let go, and 100% of its rest energy can become work far away; chemical burning gets one part in ten billion and fusion one percent, because nuclear reactions never touch the rest mass of protons and neutrons — only gravity does. [Dwarkesh Podcast, 2026-07-10] - [American Money Controls 11 Premier League Clubs, and Football Is Not the Point](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-10-sv101-美国资本硬控足坛-不只买队-还在收租/) — US capital now controls 11 Premier League clubs, and it has reached into UEFA commercial rights, broadcast distribution and the financing of player transfers; with media-rights income at its ceiling, it keeps playing by pushing valuations up and rolling assets through evergreen funds. [硅谷101, 2026-07-10] - [Two ways to live in short drama: scale protects the capital, content runs on relationships](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-09-luanfanshu-月产-300-部短剧不靠灵感-靠本金安全与人物关系/) — Short drama has two survival modes: the scale mode runs on capital safety and the near-certain returns of 300 titles a month, the content mode on character relationships that determine motive; both sides think AI cannot replace a live actor's micro-expressions for now. [乱翻书, 2026-07-09] - [Self-evolving AI could close the loop in six months, but the model will quietly drift](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-06-sv101-ai最快半年跑通自进化-验证与品味是最后门槛/) — The inflection point for RSI is models becoming capable of long-horizon tasks. Apodex's chief scientist says the self-evolution loop could close in as little as six months, but recursive drift and the model's taste will need human gatekeeping for a long time yet. [硅谷101, 2026-07-06] - [The narcissism epidemic is media hype: the data doesn't support it, and narcissists themselves suffer more](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-07-02-sciencevs-没有自恋流行病-自恋者只是更痛苦/) — The much-hyped ‘narcissism epidemic’ has little data behind it; narcissism as measured by the NPI has actually been falling in recent years. True NPD affects about 1%, patients often carry depression and anxiety alongside it, and treatment works but takes years. [Science Vs, 2026-07-02] - [Mathematicians Become Curators; the Value Is Not in the Proof](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-06-30-dwarkesh-数学家未来是策展人-价值不在证明里/) — AI can solve problems, explain them, and prove theorems; the mathematician's value shifts toward judging which path is worth taking — and toward being a curator people trust. [Dwarkesh Podcast, 2026-06-30] - [AI's next breakthrough isn't training — it's letting AI learn on the job](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-06-26-dwarkesh-ai-的下一个突破-在工作中学习-而非仅靠训练/) — The labs are betting RLVR will generalize into general intelligence, but the real bottlenecks are sample efficiency and continual learning. OPSD and "dreaming" may be the keys that let AI learn from deployment rather than from pre-training alone. It is the flywheel Walt built with engineering discipline after art and commerce married inside his head: make high-quality animation, maximise its distribution, feed it into ancillary nodes, then let the whole thing compound for decades. A New Zealand study found that new mothers who had someone help with the housework every day for six months almost never developed postpartum depression, yet medication is still the first-line answer. [Your Parenting Mojo, 2026-06-15] - [Lite-version red packets aren't growth, they're a harvester for the algorithm and monetization](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-06-12-luanfanshu-极速版的本质不是增长-是商业化和算法/) — Once the demographic dividend was gone, the point of red packets, Lite apps and coupon drops was never growth — it was using monetization and the recommendation algorithm to absorb the traffic. In the AI era paid acquisition is close to useless, and growth goes back to model capability and mindshare marketing. [乱翻书, 2026-06-12] - [ADHD Medication Changes Behavior, Not Learning](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-06-01-parentmojo-adhd-药物改得了行为-改不了学习/) — Barkley likens ADHD to diabetes, yet 64% of children move in and out of the diagnostic criteria repeatedly; medication buys compliance without improving learning, the long-term MTA follow-up confirms no academic advantage, and what actually works is small-group differentiated teaching. [Your Parenting Mojo, 2026-06-01] - [14,000 cars a year, worth more than Ford: Ferrari sells exclusivity and inclusion at once](https://ourword.ai/podcast/en/p/2026-04-13-acquired-法拉利-卖的不是车-是排他与包容的悖论/) — Ferrari builds only about 14,000 cars a year, yet its market value exceeds Ford's. The trick is holding a luxury brand's exclusivity and a sports team's inclusiveness at the same time: scarcity manufactures the myth, community sustains the loyalty. [Acquired, 2026-04-13]
