What is the idea?

A China-market fork of the 65k-star TradingAgents framework: seven analyst agents argue bull vs bear under A-share-specific rules.

Who would use it, and what do they get?

Retail investors, i.e. ordinary people — but only under a strict no-advice framing; anything that outputs a call fails both the integrity line and the user's interest.

Why would anyone bother?

Choose TradingAgents-Astock for its deep specialization in A-share trading, utilizing local data sources and tailored analysis roles that provide insights no other framework can offer.

What is missing today?

Chinese retail investing content is overwhelmingly one-directional — everything is a reason to buy. Nothing routinely constructs and shows the opposing case with equal force.

What makes this one different?

Ship the disagreement, never the verdict: two columns, strongest bull case and strongest bear case with sources, and no score, no signal, no position. Self-limit to 'translate and lay out both sides, decisions are yours'. Cold start CN = 雪球/雪盈 讨论区与小红书「A股 复盘」标签; EN = r/investing 'steelman the bear case' threads.

What is the sharpest thing about it?

The standout capability lies in its integration of 7 specialized analyst roles, including policy and hot money tracking, which are crucial for navigating the intricacies of the A-share market.

What could kill it?

Hard integrity boundary: the moment this reads as a recommendation engine it is selling investment advice to retail, which is both regulated and the fastest way to hurt the people using it. The framework's own backtests are not evidence it works.

Who pays, and for what?

Institutional investors and trading firms pay for enhanced decision-making capabilities and insights into A-share market dynamics, leveraging the unique roles and data sources that directly impact trading strategies.

What is the main risk?

The project may struggle against established trading platforms that already offer comprehensive analytics and data integration, potentially limiting its adoption among traditional investors.

What did real people actually say?

Verbatim from the public sources linked above, not paraphrased: “…解决**: v0.2.12 起,导出前会自动检测 fpdf 版本,若是旧库会直接给出上面这条提示,不再让 PDF 渲染到一半抛晦涩的 UnicodeEncodeError。实在不想折腾也可以改用「下载 Markdown」(零依赖,永远可用)。 详见 [Release v0.2.12](https://github.com/simonlin1212/TradingAgents-astock/releases/tag/v0.2.12)。” — github
